The difference between YE3 motor and YE2 motor, YX3 motor

YE3 motor is an ultra-efficient motor (high-efficiency energy-saving motor). It adopts new motor design, new technology and new materials, and improves the output efficiency of the motor by reducing the loss of electromagnetic energy, thermal energy and mechanical energy. YE2 high efficiency motor (ie YX3 ordinary high efficiency motor).

YX3 high efficiency motor is the first high efficiency motor in China with cold rolled silicon steel as magnetic material. It is designed and developed on the basis of Y3 motor. Y3 motor is the first ordinary motor designed in China with cold-rolled silicon steel as the magnetic conductive material. It is the national product of “cooling and replacing heat”. The YX3 motor was designed in 2003 and passed the appraisal organized by the Machinery Federation in September 2005.

Mainly in line with GB/T18613-2002 version of the level 2 energy efficiency standard – that is, energy-saving evaluation value. It also meets the European EFF1 indicator requirements. The energy saving evaluation value of the later GB/T18613-2006 version can also be achieved. In its detection method, the stray loss of the motor is calculated by using 0.5% of the input power, and the design is also based on which the electromagnetic data is calculated. Domestic motor manufacturers have carried out Class 2 energy efficiency filings before 2008, and in addition to joint venture brands, YX3 motors are used for energy efficiency product certification. Therefore, as a high-efficiency motor, the YX3 motor is widely known in China.

In 2008, the IEC and the US NEMA negotiated to harmonize the indicators and detection methods of high-efficiency motors, and developed new energy efficiency indicators and testing methods. The biggest difference is that the index value of the high-efficiency motor is lower than the IE2 value, but the detection method of the motor adopts the low uncertainty detection method. The biggest difference is that the stray loss of the motor adopts the actual measurement method. This is different from the design of YX3, facing the adjustment of indicators, there is no motor corresponding to IE3 indicator in China.

Thus, in 2009, Shanghai Electric Scientific Research Institute organized dozens of motor factories in the motor industry to jointly design motors that meet the IE2 and IE3 indicators. Based on the YX3 high-efficiency motor, the IE2 motor adjusts part of the design to meet the requirements of the IE2 index and test method, and named it the YE2 series high-efficiency motor. This series was designed in 2011 by the Machinery Industry Federation. The motor that meets the IE3 index has no reference samples in China. Only the NEMA ultra-high efficiency series, a few manufacturers are doing it, so on this basis, the domestic motor that meets the requirements of IE3 is developed, named YE3 series ultra-efficient motor.

Later revised GB/T18613-2012 version, the IE2 indicator as the basic energy efficiency limit value, that is, the level 3 energy efficiency index, IE3 index as the energy-saving evaluation value, that is, the level 2 energy efficiency index. That means that the YX3 series motors are slightly adjusted to achieve the new Class 3 energy efficiency specifications, and the YE2 is originally a high efficiency motor designed according to IE2 requirements. In the new standard, although the YX3 index is slightly higher than the YE2 motor, the detection method is different. In many specifications, the performance is similar to that of the YE2 motor, and it belongs to the new high-efficiency level 3 energy efficiency. These two series of motors are common high efficiency motors in the new national standards.

Since the current Y, Y2, Y3 series motors are basically eliminated in China, YE3 ultra-efficient and energy-saving motors save energy and reduce long-term operating costs. They are very suitable for textiles, fans, pumps, compressors, and can save motor purchase cost by one year. Direct start, or use frequency converter speed control, can completely replace asynchronous motor; rare earth permanent magnet high-efficiency energy-saving motor itself can save more than 15c / o than ordinary motor; motor power factor is close to 1, improve grid quality factor, no need to add power factor compensator The motor current is small, saving transmission and distribution capacity and extending the overall operating life of the system.
